Job Description:

Camelot Education, a leader in providing special education services, is recruiting creative, compassionate and caring individuals to join our team.  We are seeking a Bilingual Teacher at our campus located in Hoffman Estates, IL. 

Hoffman Estates provides services for children, adolescents and young adults, ages 3 through 21 with exceptional needs including Emotional Disabilities, Specific Learning Disabilities, Other health Impairments, Autism, Speech and Language, Developmental Delays, Intellectual Disabilities, Traumatic Brain Injuries and multiple disabilities.    Our multi-needs program focuses on the development of functional life skills, with an emphasis on vocational programming.  A multi-disciplinary team develops IEP goals based on data collection through informal and formal assessment results.  Treatment plans are completely individualized and incorporate research-based strategies and therapies.

The Bilingual Teacher plans and provides for appropriate learning experiences for students with disabilities. The teacher provides academic instruction in a self-contained classroom setting and is responsible for the overall management of the classroom. The teacher will work as part of an interdisciplinary team ensuring that a student's IEP goals are being met.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
  • Current Illinois Teacher Certification with ESL or ELL endorsement required
  • Special Education Endorsement or willingness to complete Special Education Endorsement
  • Experience working with children and adolescents
  • Proven ability and working knowledge with Microsoft software applications, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
